Ce livre a été écrit à un moment de crise pour moi et pour ceux que le Seigneur a suscités pour être co-ouvriers avec moi dans le ministère. Nous avons fait face et nous sommes en train de faire face à des circonstances dans lesquelles notre seul soutien est le Seigneur. Jusque-là Il a été fidèle. Il a été plus que suffisant et Il est plus que suffisant pour notre besoin. Nous aussi nous trouvons que nous sommes plus que vainqueurs par Celui qui nous a aimés.

Ce que tu as été et ce que tu as fait en tant que non-croyant n'a pas besoin d'être un blocage pour ton entrée dans la plénitude du dessein de Dieu pour toi ! Ces messages furent prêchés dans l'église de Yaoundé pour satisfaire un besoin. Dieu les utilisa pour bénir Ses enfants et plusieurs purent Le toucher fraîchement. Nous les offrons au Corps de Christ avec cette prière que le Saint-Esprit les utilise joyeusement pour rendre ministère à certains membres du glorieux Corps de Christ qui sont découragés.

The Lord has wrought something in my life between 1990 and today, largely in the area of deliverance from sin, deliverance from self, deliverance from the love of the world, deliverance from the love of the things of the world, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and the knowledge of the Lord. I now feel that I can write the book, though with fear and trembling, and not from a position of perfection, but from the position of one who has received unmerited grace to write it.

God, as the Creator of man, has given every member of the human race a talent or talents with which to function in his universe. You have a talent! Every human being has a talent. Some human beings have many talents, but there is no human being without a talent.

Many believers have backslid. Some have turned away completely while others have turned away only in small degrees. Many will honestly say, "I have lost that love which I first had for the Lord". Many are prepared to say that, but they are not willing to take radical steps to put things right. They see the need to repent; they desire to repent, but they do not repent, for they do not pay the price of repentance.

All believers are carrying out banking. Some bank in earthly banks, others bank in their stomachs, others in clothes, cars, and the like, while some bank in heaven. The supreme challenge of our time is the effective presentation of Jesus Christ as savior and lord and the building up of the church which is his bride. This is a difficult and demanding task. If we are to achieve our objectives, then a wholehearted commitment is absolutely necessary.

In this book we present the greatness of God as the father of all goodness, and show the pilgrim how to know him. We have thought over these messages for over 10 years. We send them out with prayer that they bring great blessings to God's people.

The Way of Loving the Lord is very different from many of the books in the Christian Way series. It is not an attempt to present the Bible’s position on some aspects of Christian truth. Rather, it is an expression of the yearning, longing - the spiritual emotions of my heart - after the Lord Jesus. I believe that there are some who yearn in an increasing way for the Lord, and in whose hearts the evidence of his soon coming awakens, with each passing day, greater desires to see him - the Hope of the Ages – face-to-face.

These messages that constitute the book, The Way of Spiritual Encouragement, were written while I was away from Cameroon to seek God's face and sort out many things with him. They have been a great blessing to me. I was shocked by what the Lord was saying to me and, by his grace, will say to those he will allow to listen to these messages. My own faith in him grew as I wrote them. I have been deeply comforted to know that God is so good, so loving and so gracious. My desire is to love him more and more.

This book has been written in a time of crisis for me and those that the Lord raised up to be co-workers with me in the ministry. We have been faced with, and we are being faced with, circumstances in which our only help is the Lord. So far, he has proved faithful. He has proved more than sufficient, and he is proving himself to be more than sufficient for our need. We too find that we are more than conquerors through him who loves us. We believe that you, too, will find him entirely sufficient.

Time is one of the most precious gifts that the Lord has given man. In giving people the gift of time, the Lord has ensured that no one may consider himself specially favored or disfavored. In his wondrous love, God has given the president of a populous nation and a simple street sweeper in that nation the same number of hours per day: 24. The president has not been given a 48 hour day while the street sweeper has been given a 24-hour day.

This book by Prof. Fomum treats the way of salvation, notably: God's original purpose in the creation of man. The tragic sin of man and its consequences in time and in eternity. The unparalleled love of God manifested in the redemptive love of Christ on the cross for rebellious man. The sinner's response to God through repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ. The victorious new life in Christ. Read it and experience in a new way the love of God for you.

The Lord has a wonderful plan for you. He has purposed great things for you. Regardless of what you were and what you did as an unbeliever; regardless of the sins you have committed since you believed; regardless of your failure and unfaithfulness of the past; regardless of your having denied Him in the past, you can still rise and enter in His fullness, for no failure in the past or present needs to be final. You can turn to Him today and He will receive you and work out His great purpose for you.

I am burdened by the increasing numbers of believers who know the Lord very superficially. They do not love Him. They find the time spent in His presence uninteresting. Often they do not know what to say to Him. We believe that when believers, in an increasing number, begin to withdraw and spend time alone in God's presence, something will happen to them. They will know God and then they will seek Him more and more. They will serve Him from His presence and things will be different. They will make spiritual progress.

All the people who have made an impact on history varied in many things, but they all had one thing in common - they worked hard. It is only true that "the heights by which great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight but while their companions slept, they kept toiling upwards into the sky." The Lord has given us work to do. He desires it accomplished. If we are to accomplish that work, we must put all that we are and all that we have into it.

Most of the world is lazy. Too many believers are idle. Few attain their God-given potential. The kingdom suffers because of the too many spectators who are said to be soldiers in the army of the Lord. The loss to God, to the kingdom of God, and to the lazy person that is caused by the sin of laziness is beyond measure. Must things continue that way? I do not think so. Laziness is a deadly sin. The one who commits this sin can be delivered. That is what this book is about. May the Lord bless you as you listen to it! Amen.
