Als Malcolm en Maud Angel worden vermoord, staan er twee dingen vast: hun dochter Tandy is de laatste die ze in leven heeft gezien, en zij en haar drie broers worden van de moorden verdacht.Ondanks haar onzekerheid over wie ze wel en niet kan vertrouwen, is Tandy vastberaden om te bewijzen dat zij en haar broers onschuldig zijn. Maar dan krijgt ze flashbacks. Het zijn herinneringen van vroeger en ze brengen bepaalde familiegeheimen aan het licht.
