Attending a school for young ladies, the ever-changing fortunes of Sara Crewe are embellished by her lively imagination. Along the way she invites some wonderfully memorable characters to join her in her fantasies.

Little Lord Fauntleroy is the first children's novel written by English playwright and author Frances Hodgson Burnett. It was originally published as a serial in the St. Nicholas Magazine between November 1885 and October 1886, then as a book by Scribner's in 1886.

Sara Crewe is one of the most vivid figures in children's fiction. Born in India and sent to school in England, she is, at first, treated like a princess by the teacher, Miss Minchin. But when it is evident that Sara is not the possessor of a princess's fortune, she is dispatched to live in the attic and become a servant.

Mary, unloved and selfish, finds friendship and happiness helping her neurotic, invalid cousin become strong and healthy. Nature's powerful magic touches both children as they toil to revive their secret garden. The story alludes to some very modern themes including the ability of mental beliefs to create health, the strength of group optimism, and the restorative power of nature.

Sara Crew is the spoiled little daughter of rich parents. After her mother's death, she is sent to a "Select Seminary For Young Ladies". Then, Sara suddenly loses her father and money and faces the misery of existing on charity.

Ma il libro non precorreva i tempi solo in questo: nella seconda parte del libro vengono affrontate e ben spiegate le teorie del “pensiero positivo” e della ripetizione dei pensieri positivi che è alla base di così tante tecniche cosiddette “magiche”.....
