Am liebsten möchte Klinge Rabia nach Hause schicken. Sie willigt dann aber ein, dass das Mädchen sie zum Markt am „Tor zur Wüste“ begleiten darf. Weimin, einer der Komodos der Verbotenen Geselllschaft, ist Po gefolgt und tut so, als wolle er sich mit ihm anfreunden.

Der Lotus: Klaus und Veruca stehlen den Mönchen, die die Geschichte Chinas dokumentieren, eine Schriftrolle und entkommen. Po und Wandelnde Klinge kommen ihnen zu Hilfe. Doch Älteste Huang glaubt, Zhen, eine von den Mönchen, sei der Übeltäter. Die Kaiserliche Leibwache ist verständigt, Zhen wird in einem Käfig gefangen gehalten. Da Zhen aber Auskunft über Klaus und Veruca geben kann, beschließt Wandelnde Klinge, sie zu befreien. Po hat ein Problem damit, sind doch die Mönche die einzigen, die ihn noch als Drachenmeister anerkennen.
