John Montgomery examines legal and ethical issues surrounding the questions of suicide and assisted suicide, the issues in health care: rights of the unborn, ethics in a changing health care system, and human dignity in birth and death: a question of values.

John Montgomery examines Martin Luther and the German Reformation; Ulrich Zwingli and the Swiss Reformation; the principles for interpreting the Bible by comparison of the approaches of Zwingli and Luther; the life, times, and thought of John Calvin; and the influence of the Bible Reformers, especially Martin Luther, on artists such as Bach and Mendelsohn compared to 20th century artists such as Picasso.

In 1970, Dr. Montgomery was the visiting Reveille Scholar at the University of California—San Diego. This tape set is comprised of the series of lectures in which he developed a Christian approach to the study of the philosophy of history.
