Originally published in 1902, "The Monkey's Paw" is a classic horror short story written by author W. W. Jacobs. In the story, the paw of a dead monkey is a talisman that grants its possessor three wishes, but the wishes come with an enormous price. An elderly couple living in a remote village with their mischievous son, Herbert, are presented with a macabre souvenir from India: a withered monkey's paw. Upon receiving this strange gift, the couple are warned of its dangers - that though it has the power to grant wishes, it exacts a terrible price for them. Ralph decides to take his revenge on the Skipper and his crew, and devises an ingenious plan...
