This work is a selection of Christmas stories (or sometimes chapters) of Lucy Maud Montgomery from different sources and different times. La storia riprende esattamente dal punto in cui era stata lasciata nel primo romanzo "Anna dai capelli rossi". È con vero piacere che ritroviamo la romantica Anna con i vecchi amici ed altri ospiti inaspettati. Ormai Anna ha 16 anni e si appresta a diventar donna. Il romanzo è in perfetta armonia con il precedente, mantenendo invariato lo stile del racconto e dei nuovi e vecchi personaggi che vi ruotano attorno, specialmente negli ultimi capitoli.
