The ability to empathize with people is a skill that we are taught, and not one that some people have naturally, or that society is able to cultivate—it comes from within each of us. Empathy can create strong bonds between humans, but it can also bring about conflict and hate. Empathy is a type of emotional awareness that is part of the understanding process. Empathy can be defined as "the capacity to recognize, understand, and share another person's feelings without being consciously aware of it".

Natural healing is the practice of using natural remedies such as herbs, foods, vitamins, and other plants to cure or prevent illness. In contrast with traditional Western medicine, which focuses on treatments that are often high-tech and invasive, natural healing typically takes a less medical approach. Natural healing is a well-established practice in many cultures around the world; certain cultures are known to have had medical practitioners who have used natural remedies for centuries before the discovery of modern medical science.

As they played with the two pups, I saw a feeling of mild disappointment in Sam’s eyes. He left his sister to play with the dogs and walked up the aisle again. He threw a brief look at me and walked ahead a few paces. Disgruntled, I placed my chin on the floor. Shortly after, he came back and looked at me again. I saw his eyes—big, black, and full of hope. I’d never seen a pair of human eyes speak so much in so little time. He looked straight into my eyes, and I stood right there. My eyes widened, and I just kept looking at him, and he at me.

The Unusual Planet podcast is a result of our curiosity in learning new things every day. We've had long 3 am talks about aliens, civilizations, mythologies, the long-kept secrets of Hinduism.
