The Confederation consists of the seven oldest races in known space. They control a vast section of the galaxy. All races in that part of the galaxy are subjects of the Confederation and forced to obey the Confederation’s laws. The Human Empire is well aware of the Confederation and has been careful not to intrude upon Confederation space. However, now the Confederation has decided the Human Empire has grown too large and needs to be brought under control of the seven races.

Admiral Kurt Vickers is on fleet maneuvers in the Newton System when a heavily damaged Earth light cruiser appears. The captain tells a horrific story. Earth has been invaded, and the defensive fleets in orbit have been annihilated. For decades, humans have been exploring farther and farther away from Earth and Newton searching for signs of intelligent life. Now that intelligent life has found them, it comes as an invader.

The situation in the galaxy is growing desperate. Every day the Vorn are harvesting world after world to be used as food for their Queens. The Vorn ships are nearly indestructible and destroying every fleet that dares to oppose them. Lakiam Fleet Commodore Dreen is trying to form an alliance to try to stop the Vorn, but he needs a victory to bring other Protector Worlds to his side.

Far from Earth and the Human Empire, the Human fleets continue to fight against an enemy that vows to destroy them. The Confederation continues to fracture, and the Humans add more alien races to their growing list of allies. Will the Morag discover the plot to destroy their home planet of Morag Prime? Earth Admiral Collison and his fleets continue to destroy targets in the Confederation. The Morag has many surprises awaiting the Human fleet. Deep in the Confederation, Rear Admiral Fulmar heads toward his mission of destroying all Lamothian planets. As long as he can avoid the large Lamothian fleet, he can accomplish his task. For over 30 years, there has been no word or sign of the Zaltule. The Zaltule are the warrior caste of the Kleese and the most dangerous race in existence. In a battle that nearly destroyed the solar system, the Zaltule were driven from human space. Now, they are back and more deadly than ever. The Human Empire has been in a period of rebuilding and recovery. The war with the Confederation was finally over. The Morag had been defeated. Two more years have passed for the Lost Fleets trapped in the Triangulum Galaxy. It's becoming more apparent with each passing day that the Dyson Sphere of the Simulins must be destroyed if Fleet Admiral Jeremy Strong and his people want to survive.

The final battle between the Humans and the Zaltule is drawing near. However, the Arachnids have a secret that will ensure victory and allow them to wipe out the Human race once and for all. In the Strell Empire, former Supreme Overlord Xatul plans his return. He has amassed a fleet to take back control of the Kleese Empire. The Humans realize they need more time to prepare for the coming attack of the Zaltule. Fleet Admiral Kelly sends Seventh Fleet deep into the Kleese Empire to draw the attention of the Zaltule.

Even heroes need a vacation. Unfortunately, Hannah and her friends chose the wrong beach. The Oracle needs help. She's dying, and only Ezekiel knows that the world will die along with her. Hannah and her team take up the call without hesitation. The only problem? It takes a freaking long time to cross the world. While putting their quest on hold for a much needed rest stop and resupply, Karl, Hadley, and Laurel get captured by some angry locals, who accuse them of kidnapping their leader's son.

The Federation is pushing the Hocklyns steadily back, but they still vastly outnumber the humans and their allies by hundreds to one. Fleet Admiral Hedon Streth has to defeat them before they develop newer and more deadly weapons. In a bold move, Hedon comes up with a daring plan to attack the Hocklyn home worlds. If he succeeds, the war will be over. And if he fails then the Federation will face imminent defeat.

The cryosleep chambers are beginning to fail. Surveillance of Hocklyn space has revealed that the Hocklyns are thirty years ahead of their projected schedule and will soon reach human occupied space. War could break out any day if something isn't done. The human leaders suggest a daring plan to buy them the additional time they need to strengthen the Fleet, as well as the defenses protecting their worlds.

The Human Federation of Worlds thought they were alone in the galaxy. But now an alien spacecraft has appeared over one of their distant mining operations. The frightened miners immediately call for help to deal with this worrisome first contact situation. Admiral Streth is sent to implement talks with the aliens and to find out what they want. The aliens inform the admiral that they are called Hocklyns and are from a large multi-world trading federation.

Disaster has struck the first Moon landing to be attempted in years. Commander Jason Strong and his fellow lunar explorer Greg Johnson have become stranded with no way home. In desperation, they set off in their lunar rover to check out an anomaly they discovered on their descent. What they find will shake their beliefs and what they know of human history. It is the beginning of an adventure that will take them far out into the Solar System and to a discovery that is beyond belief.

The Eternals continue with their plans to conquer Originator space. Huge war fleets are sent to isolate the Dyson Spheres and force the Originators to surrender. Massive space battles erupt across Eternal and Originator space as Fleet Admiral Jeremy Strong commits his forces to push the Eternals back. Across the Dyson Spheres, the search continues for sleeping Originators who can be awoken from stasis to aid in the expanding war. The Eternals are convinced they are the most intelligent and powerful race in the universe and should rule.

For over six years, the Lost Fleets have been trapped in the Triangulum Galaxy. Every day has been filled full of danger as the galaxy conquering Simulins search relentlessly for them. With the arrival of the Distant Horizon, a daring plan is made. A message drone will be sent back home to give them warning of the deadly danger the Lost Fleets are facing.
