While building up his PI agency, Finch’s sister-in-law, Jessica, comes to him with a major problem. She cheated the wizard, Maldonado, an infamous demonologist known for his crime dealings, and now he wants Jessica dead. Determined to help Jessica, as well as a few others around town, all within a single 24-hour period, Finch must make a new pact with a creature that can defeat Maldonado’s infernal magic. Unfortunately, very few creatures can do that, and all of them want something drastic in return.

Abysses End has left for the time being, but they left behind a parting gift of sorts. Meanwhile in Eternal Dominion the major workshops are stirring up trouble for FAE to waylay their progress. All while Alex/Xeal tries to advance himself and his guild further in both reality and the virtual world once more. Will FAE succeed in fending off the latest moves from the major players, and what other surprises does life have instore for Alex/Xeal.

Jack, Lex, Haylee, and a young Hero with a unique Class on loan from Ivyset Crag go on an odyssey to explore the unreachable Tower on the furthest edge of the map. With no dock listed on any system interface, the NPCs of Mother Sana design a custom boat built out of logs, fruit, and indestructible equipment drops to make the trip.
