Chattering at School is a series of animal poems that invites the listener to learn and marvel at all the wonders of the natural world. The poems include fun narratives on the surface, while containing learning and teaching moments as the poems unfold.

When a child is born with a serious flaw in her character caused by an imbalance of chemicals in her mind making her incapable of controlling her actions and emotions, it can be dangerous to her as well as others. This story depicts a child who is born with such a flaw, but hides it well. Her family senses she is different, but find it difficult to accept as they see small clues that are quickly hidden.

It is the summer of 1853 and Commander James Rutherford leaves Calcutta once more to renew his campaign against organised Oriental piracy. The principal pirate leader Liang Ziu is dead, but Rutherford obtains intelligence that his criminal organisation continues to operate from a heavily fortified base, secure from conventional attack. Beset anew by intrigue and treachery, Rutherford must somehow confront and destroy this final stronghold, a task which poses difficulties and trials unlike any he has yet encountered.

As the relationship between the two women develops, however, ‘Mrs Aitch’ begins to entertain suspicions that her new neighbour is not all she seems. Bernard and his friend Dr Robbie MacTavish also begin to think she has a dark secret.

God and the Devil have decided to meet again at last, but to do so, they must each take human form again. Rome will form the perfect backdrop to their summit.

This series of tales was compiled during the recent pandemic lockdown and they include colourful incidents in the lives of bonesetters, matchmakers, youthful lovers, newcomers from beyond the mountains, a reformed villain’s wedding, celebrated by the whole community for days thereafter, and lots more.

The date 1888; the place Whitechapel in London’s East End. Yes, it is the time of the unholy, but mercifully brief, reign of Jack the Ripper. Prostitutes are being viciously murdered by an unknown assailant and, as the murders become ever more horrific, young Polish immigrant, Jacek Kaminski, is gradually suspected of being the perpetrator. He even begins to suspect so himself, being subject to blackouts during which he has no recollection of what he has done.
