Jerry the Joker has a new girlfriend. He knew Dixie came with baggage. An expensive real estate development is halted when contractors find an ancient relic. The state of Maryland insists that archaeologists must determine the historical value of the site before construction proceeds. Frank Light, a famous archaeologist, is sent by his university to study the site - a mudflat on an old farm. The relic appears to be part of an old ship, but a local black pastor insists the site covers a graveyard for slaves.

After another sleep filled with nightmares and a day being picked on by the school bullies, Timothy Scott longs for escape. When his only real friend, a voice only he can hear, offers him the chance to travel to a new world, it's an offer he cannot turn down. Walt is surprised to learn that his old partner, Ox, has a brother. Ox had never mentioned Lenny who was serving time in prison. Ox was just as surprised when Lenny showed up at his door claiming he had found religion and turned his life around. He was even more surprised to learn that his brother, the bad seed of the family, was now an ordained minister. As Lenny’s ministry grows by leaps and bounds, Walt and his friends are skeptical. Was Lenny’s conversion real or is it an elaborate con? Walt is faced with the age-old question - can people really change? What do you think?
