This time around we jump back in time to 1967, when revolution–and music–was in the air. April Corrigan and an ever-expanding group of friends become enmeshed in a bizarre mystery surrounding a vanished friend and pieces of chalcedony that seem to appear like breadcrumbs along a mysterious path to...well, they don't even know where they're going, but April and her friends can't resist the ride anyway.

In the seventh Super SF Double Feature the theme is rocks. Yep. But not "plain old" rocks--one is the mysterious ice-filled planetoid Ceres in the Asteroid Belt, while the other is a palm-sized blue pyramid that's home to a primeval terror that feeds on human fear and death. "Chthonos" details the harrowing journey of a devoted "astrohydrology" expert as she seeks to uncover what's behind the mantle-penetrating water wells of Ceres experiencing repeating series of flow interruptions that almost seemed to be some kind of coded communication.

Horrifying creatures have been loosed from a secret lab, leaving the handful of survivors of the storm under siege by nightmarish beasts with raking talons and fiendish cleverness. Though small, the monsters are utterly ruthless, and though at first they carefully seek out only one person at a time their resolve and boldness continues to increase such that they are soon hunting down the last of the human prey...an army of vicious predators determined to exterminate the species that created them.
