Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle has gone away unexpectedly and left her niece, Missy Piggle-Wiggle, in charge of the Upside-Down House and the beloved animals who live there: Lester the pig, Wag the dog, and Penelope the parrot, among others. Dawn and Mary Anne are finally stepsisters and also roommates. When they begin to get on each other's nerves, Dawn comes up with a solution which pleases everyone.

Stacey can't wait! Her best friend from New York, Laine Cummings, is coming to Stoneybrook for a whole week. She can spend a day at SMS, attend club meetings, and maybe go to the Valentine Dance. But from the minute Laine arrives, nothing goes as planned. She thinks Stacey's sleepover with her friends is childish, and can't believe Stacey's still into baby-sitting. Laine's more used to hanging out at high school parties with her 15-year-old boyfriend.

But can Kristy coach a softball team, keep up her grades, baby-sit, run the BSC, and be president? The baby-sitters are about to find out!

It's fun to be a Baby-sitters' Little Sister! Karen thinks there's a ghost in her house! But she's never really seen the ghost of Old Ben Brewer -- until now. Karen and her stepsister Kristy have found out that Ben Brewer and his spooky friends are going to have a birthday party in her attic on Halloween night! It used to be fun having a ghost around. Running a day camp with her fellow club members, Mary Anne finds her ideal summer complicated by her father's two-week business trip, rivalries among the young campers, and a sprained ankle.

To a New York City girl like Stacey, the fact that an old - supposedly haunted - house in Stoneybrook is being torn down is no big deal. But then her friend Kristy discovers the house was built on a graveyard, and when Stacey sees a horrible face in one of the windows, she wonders if the house really could be haunted!

The members of the Baby-Sitters Club come to the rescue to help Mary Anne search for her beloved kitten, Tigger, who has suddenly vanished.

When Claudia's wacky Aunt Peaches moves to Stoneybrook, full of fun and expecting a baby, Claudia thinks she will have the time of her life, until one of Peaches's antics gets Claudia in trouble, and a fight ends in tragedy.

The baby-sitters just love little babies. So of course Kristy has the great idea of entering a float in the Stoneybrook Baby Parade. All the girls have to do is round up a bunch of adorable babies like Squirt and Emily Michelle, dress them in costumes, and plop them on a float. Easy, right? Wrong. The float looks like a big orange blob, the costumes are hideous, and the babies won't stop crying. S.O.S. - the baby-sitters' float is about to sink!

Naturally, Jessi is thrilled when she earns the lead role her in dance school's latest ballet. But someone in class wants her out of the show. First Jessi's toe shoes are stolen. Then she gets all kinds of threatening messages! What kind of ballerina would want to scare Jessi? The baby-sitters don't know, but they're not going to let anyone get away with it for long.

Claudia has a sad good-bye to make. Her grandmother, Mimi, has just died. Claudia understands that Mimi was sick for a long time, but she's still mad at her grandmother for leaving her. Who will help Claudia with her homework...and share "special tea" with her?

Claudia's loving the October weather and her many friends, both in school and in the BSC. But when she throws a party to bring her two groups of pals together, she creates more problems than she solves.
