With little hope of success, Roy will need to push himself as never before, discovering new depths to both his physical and spiritual power. All the while, Azure watches from on high as ancient seals continue to crumble, heralding the rise of a new age....

The end is finally here. Morgan and Sarah rush back to the Five Kingdoms, with the survivors of Faeland in tow, as enemies converge on all sides. Gods and monsters alike threaten to destroy the world, and there is only one person mighty enough to stop them all. After facing impossible odds, Roy finds himself back where he first began his path in the martial arts. With the rise of the Ancient Cavern Beast, Furea, the Bringer of Fire, comes a threat the likes of which Buryoku hasn't seen in centuries. Sam is back and better than ever! Just kidding. His life still sucks. Dragged into the video-game-like world of Somerset, he is constantly having his patience and sanity tested by the world's sheer tropiness and unoriginality. Like, for example, how Princess Willow of the East was kidnapped just a few hours after asking for his help in saving her kingdom. Or, how seemingly no one, including the all-powerful Adventurers Guild, can do anything about it.

Arbor, now a member of the Nobility, heads off to his manor to begin his new life as a Viscount. The fate of his sister, whose search is now aided by his noble status, plagues his every waking moment. When a nearby village head pleads for his aid in dealing with a dangerous monster, Arbor jumps at the opportunity, glad for the distraction.

With the defeat of the Elemental, Arbor should be hailed as a hero. Instead, he is shunned, turned away from the Defiants by those seeking power and fearing his own. Having little choice, Arbor sets out with his force of gremlins toward the slave city of Fivora in hopes of finally being reunited with his sister. The secret to victory lies between the pages of an ancient book and newly-awakened senses he does not fully understand. All the while, a sinister voice not belonging to Geon whispers in his mind.

After exiting the Trials, Dabu and Uhane set off in pursuit of Phoenix. However, after encountering a magically charged sandstorm, the pair find themselves far from their intended course. Running short on food and water, they have no choice but to try to find civilization. Instead, they find deserted villages, rumors of a terrifying beast that stalks the night, and no way to turn back. All they can do is forge on, both to find supplies and to discover what sort of creature can send entire villages fleeing for their lives.

Dabu’s life has been far from easy; born with a crippling lung illness, he has never been as strong as his father or brother, both of whom have disappeared after attempting to challenge the Trials of Ancients. In the wake of the Tyrant King’s war, his village has come under the control of the Purus, a vicious gang of magically enhanced cutthroats and murderers. The Trials offer the promise of power to any who can clear them, but Dabu has been forbidden from entering.
