Marine Veteran Jerry McNeal was born with a psychic ability that allows him to know when something will happen before it happens. Along the way, Jerry finds himself dealing with unexpected visitors who challenge his patience and further test his psychic abilities. Among the visitors is the ghostly spirit of Texas Ranger, Clive Tisdale, who is not a fan of dogs, refuses to tell Jerry why he is there, and if his presence has anything to do with Texas Ranger Raymond Hale.

Feeling guilty at not having made his engagement to April official over the Christmas holidays, Jerry seeks to join her and Max for their annual after-Christmas getaway to Frankenmuth, Michigan. Not only is he looking forward to visiting the quaint Bavarian town, but since the town is known to visitors as a Christmas town, he sees this as a way to recreate the holiday spirit and finally make a commitment to both April and her daughter.
