When Conrad meets a strange girl while practicing for the Arcane University entrance exam, she takes him through a crack in the world and into a mysterious realm called the Glimmer. Conrad's parents are seeking help from the Glimmer Queen so they can once again rule the Overworld. The Glimmer holds secrets so ancient, they predate even the First Seraphim War, and a great power that could grant Conrad's parents immortality. If Conrad can't find a way to convince the Glimmer Queen to help his parents, evil will once again rule the Overworld.

On the run from wandslingers; bounty hunters; and the brutal magitsu master, Garkin, Conrad feels powerless to put an end to the nightmare. Nightliss, Ivy, and the other seraphim they rescued from Victus's demon foundry can't use magic, and even if they could, Victus has an army of battle mages and monsters ready to crush them. But a voice from the past may be the key to saving the future. Conrad discovers a link to a power passed down from Moses.... If he can survive long enough to wield it, there is one last hope for the resistance. The first power.

When Conrad learns his father has perfected a way to create demonic clones of living people, he realizes it's only a matter of time before the Overworld falls once again to Victus. The Arcane Council is already in flux, and Max's father, Xander, is running for primus. If he wins, it will give Victus another solid rung to climb to the top. Several ministers already seem in favor, and with a little push, the entire council could belong to Victus.

Forever Broken. When Conrad learns of an ancient artifact that might be able to reverse death, he dares to hope it might return Cora from the grave. The Broken Relic, however, is highly sought after by collectors, though nobody knows exactly what it is. After being kidnapped, chased, and nearly killed, Conrad realized he and his friends will be lucky to survive the preparations for the quest, much less the quest itself.

Civil war tears apart the Darkling nation. The Eden army is too small, too battered to overcome the warring Darkling factions. Even more insidious, Justin discovers that Victus built a small army of demon golems created from parts of Nightliss' soul - and these golems may soon control the Darkling legions. The only army large enough to overcome the threat is controlled by Kaelissa, but she has her own designs on ruling Seraphina.

Conrad Edison is cursed. His foster parents die in horrible ways around his birthday, and he ends up back at the orphanage where he and the other children are treated like indentured servants. When a man with the ability to mind control animals inexplicably tries to kill Conrad, the harrowing scrape with death gives him a new perspective on life. Determined to elude his cursed fate, Conrad decides to escape the orphanage once and for all. The phone leads him to a magical place called Queens Gate, and for the first time in his life, he dares to hope for a better life.

Justin's reunion with his father starts with a punch to the face, and their capture by Exorcists, a cult branch of the Templars supposedly disbanded centuries ago. The Exorcists banish Justin and his father David, to the Gloom. Fighting to escape exile, Justin discovers everything he knows about his father is a lie. Even worse, the man is a complete jackass who won't give a straight answer to the simplest of questions.

When Justin finds out that Daelissa plans to use his mother, Alysea, to reopen the gateway between the mortal and Seraphim realms, he decides it's high time to mount a rescue operation. But she's being held by Jeremiah Conroy, the most dangerous and secretive Arcane in the Overworld. Of course, Justin's got even more problems when he accidentally kills the brother of Maulin Kassus. Who happens to be the leader of the Black Robe Brotherhood, deadly expert battle mages. And Kassus wants revenge.

The vampling curse is gnawing away at his body and his sanity. Because the cure might lie in his special kind of magic, Justin goes to Arcane University in a desperate attempt to unlock his powers. When he runs into his little sister, Ivy, at the university, Justin realizes this might be his chance to convince her he's not evil. Even better, she might be able to cure him if her shape-shifting protector, Bigglesworth, doesn't eat him first.

When Justin's long-lost sister, Ivy, shows up at the funeral for Elyssa's brother, Jack, it seems like the family reunion Justin has long hoped for is finally here. But Ivy isn't interested in playing Barbie or hanging out at the mall with her big brother. She's on a mission against evil, and Justin is at the top of her big-bad-meanies list.

During an escape from the gray men, Justin and Elyssa are stranded in Thunder Rock with a notorious Daemas, Kassallandra. They find a way out, but Justin is separated, thrown through a broken Obsidian Arch, and ends up in Colombia where he'll face his greatest challenge yet.
