I struggled every day, looking to put something on the table, but it was my life, and no one had a right to take it. Especially not Eris Lanyer, lord of the city, the very same who was supposed to keep people such as myself safe! The nobleman killed me without a second thought for the sole purpose of testing the blade he had just acquired! So here I am, burning with such a rage at this flagrant lack of justice. My hate is so immense that I'm unable to pass to the afterlife, and so I return as a Revenant.

I guess trying to catch the bus with your laces undone isn’t such a smart decision after all… One fatal collision later, and I’m facing my judgment. As it turns out, I’ve been a lazy sob, and my short, uneventful life of playing games and getting up late wasn’t worth much. And so I don’t qualify to move on to the afterlife. I try to argue to the goddess in front of me that I do have skills, that it was hard work playing those simulation and management games. But she will not concede. In the end, I manage to get the benefit of the doubt, and a wager is made.

I'm at the top of the world. My list of accomplishments over the last few years has grown to include: proprietor of New Valley; governor of Karlton; head of House Landon; owner of the Giantskarl and Opal Dungeons; wartime outfitter for the Draconic Resistance Army…And on top of that, I'm about to marry a dragoness. What else could I ask for? But when you have everything, you stand to lose the most. The King has summoned my presence.

Their first mission sounds easy enough: rid the Climb of all the baddies squatting in the abandoned housing projects, and they'll get to keep the building as their new headquarters.

Henshaw Tarley has been subdued, and New Valley is now all mine to develop! My plans are clear. First, I need to secure alchemical ingredients for Cynthia, my resident alchemist, so we can start making and selling potions. Second, I must find a wand maker to broaden the range of items we offer in the shop. Then, there's the issue of that magical tattoo parlor I want to set up… For that, I will need someone to teach me the basics of tattooing so I can gain a rank or two and make full use of my new ability.

My end goal's been the same from day one, and that is to build my Merchant Empire. Although I've now become the new Governor of Karlton—a position I had to accept to appease the King and keep Lord Reinley in power—unfortunately, that did nothing to advance my plans. What I need is to unlock the Merchant Class, but the requirements are steep to say the least. If I do have the infrastructure needed, as well as the levels, I'm far from generating enough revenue to qualify. And that's a bummer because I'm currently sitting on a good chunk of XP that I saved for after I've gained my new class.

Since the day I turned into a Venator, I had been doing everything on my own. From tracking monsters to setting traps, I could count on no one but myself. Luckily, things have changed. With the creation of the first Lodge in centuries, I now have recruits to follow in my footsteps, recruits who each have their own special class and abilities. Still, that doesn't mean that I can slack off. The Zinoss Jungle is far from a safe place. Still, the Invasion that is to wipe out the entire realm is not to take place before another eight years. And a lot can happen during that time, good and bad. That's why I decided to rush the inevitable and draw these nightmares into this world while I still got the upper hand. But first, I need to prepare.

Though I'm part of the most powerful family in Elantio, I failed to produce mana on my Manifestation day. Thus, I was relegated to the most shameful place for someone of my status: the Archives. What may have seemed like a sentence truly was a blessing in disguise. I may be a mule—one with the blood of a sorcerer yet unable to channel any magic—but what I lack in raw power I make up for with my tenacity. It's in those Archives that I searched and searched for a way to bypass my curse. Now, after years of study and browsing through hundreds of books, I may have found a solution.

I can't believe it! I've really been accepted into the Royal Scouts? For real? It's a dream come true for a farm boy like myself, to gain access to the Portal Halls and be able to explore the worlds beyond. More than that, it means I can finally provide for my family. After all, they're the ones who put their savings on the line so I could get a chance to join this prestigious guild. And if I may be at a disadvantage compared to other recruits, as all I know is how to grow beans, I plan on boosting my skills as soon as possible.

Unless you’re like me: a little too carefree, and take a nap that ends up lasting a few thousand years. You can imagine my surprise when I woke up to find that the face of Liora had changed entirely. Gone was the dominion of elves over the world. I had landed right into a period of intense land grab, where Champions were fighting to stake their claim.
