22. The Covenant of Evil: Holmes and Watson are close to solving the case. As they try to confront the alleged perpetrator with their evidence, but things take a turn.

The Return of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of 13 Sherlock Holmes stories, originally published in 1903-1904, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The stories were published in the Strand Magazine in Great Britain, and Collier's in the United States. The book was first published in February 1905 by McClure, Phillips & Co. (New York) then on 7 March 1905 by Georges Newnes, Ltd. (London) and was the first Holmes collection since 1893, when Holmes had "died" in "The Final Problem".

His Last Bow: Some Reminiscences of Sherlock Holmes is a collection of previously published Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, including the titular short story, "His Last Bow. The War Service of Sherlock Holmes" (1917). The collection's first US edition adjusts the anthology's subtitle to Some Later Reminiscences of Sherlock Holmes. All editions contain a brief preface, by "John H. Watson, M.D.

"The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge" is one of the fifty-six Sherlock Holmes short stories written by Arthur Conan Doyle. One of eight stories in the volume His Last Bow, it is a lengthy, two-part story consisting of "The Singular Experience of Mr. John Scott Eccles" and "The Tiger of San Pedro", which on original publication in The Strand bore the collective title of "A Reminiscence of Mr. Sherlock Holmes". Holmes is visited by a perturbed proper English gentleman, John Scott Eccles, who wishes to discuss something "grotesque".

When the Crown Prince of Portugal visits London, a precious diamond, the Iguana's Tear, is stolen from him. Faced with the possibility of a devastating financial and political backlash for the Iberian Royal Family, Holmes and Dr. Watson are brought in to investigate matters before they escalate.

A few days before Christmas, Sherlock Holmes is confronted with a peculiar case. No other than the Ghost of Christmas Past is blackmailing the moneylender Jacob Marley. He is supposed to pay £ 10, 000 or he will never see his dogs again. Holmes and Watson take the lead.

When Dr. Watson returns to London from a weekend seminar, he finds hat Sherlock Holmes has been arrested. Inspector Lestrade refers Watson to a questionable psychiatric hospital where Holmes is jailed for mental incapacity.

The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton is one of the 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories written by Sir Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is one of 13 stories in the cycle collected as The Return of Sherlock Holmes and was published in 1904. Holmes is hired by the débutante Lady Eva Blackwell to retrieve compromising letters from a blackmailer: Milverton, who causes Holmes more revulsion than any of the 50-odd murderers in his career.

18. The Blood of the Messiah: After Holmes and Watson were able to free themselves, they inform the convents Abbot and Vicar. Both of them are not pleased with losing their sacred blood relic.

A malicious murder of a highly unusual victim leads Sherlock Holmes to London Zoo. While Scotland Yard attaches little importance to the matter and closes the investigation, Holmes' logical prowess and astute observation skills lead him and Watson down a politically motivated and quite interesting road.

"The Stockbroker's Clerk" is one of the 56 short Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is the fourth of the twelve collected in The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes in most British editions of the canon, and third of eleven in most American ones (owing to the omission of the "scandalous" "Adventure of the Cardboard Box"). The story was first published in Strand Magazine in March 1893 and featured seven illustrations by Sidney Paget.

It is summer of 1885. The Strauss brothers are staying in London as part of a concert tour. The planned performance in one of the largest concert halls in the Empire is at jeopardy, when a crime occurs involving Johann's violin. His desperate brother Eduard reaches out to Sherlock Holmes for help.

"The Five Orange Pips", one of the 56 short Sherlock Holmes stories written by British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is the fifth of the twelve stories in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. The story was first published in The Strand Magazine in November 1891. Conan Doyle later ranked the story seventh in a list of his twelve favourite Sherlock Holmes stories. This is also one of only two Sherlock Holmes short stories where Holmes' client dies after seeking his help. The other is "The Dancing Men".

"The Musgrave Ritual" is a short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring his fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. The story was originally published in Strand Magazine in 1919, and was collected later in The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. Unlike the majority of Holmes stories, the main narrator is not Doctor Watson, but Sherlock Holmes himself. With Watson providing an introduction, the story within a story is a classic example of a frame tale.

Jabez Wilson, a pawnbroker, consults Holmes about a job, gained only because of his red hair, which took him away from his shop for long periods each day; the job for to simply copy the Encyclopædia Britannica. After eight weeks, he was suddenly informed that the job ended. After some investigation at Wilson's shop, Holmes contacts a police inspector and the manager of a nearby bank. With Watson, they hide in the bank vault and catch two thieves who had dug a tunnel from the shop while Wilson was at the decoy copying job.

"The Crooked Man", one of the 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is one of 12 stories in the cycle collected as The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. Doyle ranked "The Adventure of the Crooked Man" 15th in a list of his 19 favourite Sherlock Holmes stories. Holmes calls on Watson late one evening to tell him about a case that he has been working on, and also to invite him to be a witness to the final stage of the investigation.

There is a mole hiding in the British Embassy in Brussels. Important secret papers regarding the colonial politics have been stolen. In order to keep a diplomatic and international crisis from happening Holmes and Watson travel, of course incognito, to Belgium. There they want to put a stop to the traitor's game.
