This homage to a by-gone era of classic "Detective Noir" stories is a fun and exciting journey through the streets of L.A. in 1945. Lucky is returning home from World War II to restart his life up as a L.A.P.D. cop, when a case nobody wants lead him on a journey of self discovery he will never forget. Love, lust, and lamentation, travel beside Lucky through intrigue, mystery and murder, all conspiring to turn a hero into another gritty L.A. shamus reminiscent of Sam Spade or Philip Marlowe.

I forestieri visitano Dunwich molto raramente, tutte le indicazioni stradali sono state rimosse da quando sono accaduti quegli orribili fatti. Forse una ragione c'è, è che le persone del luogo sono decadenti in modo spaventoso.

In una bella giornata estiva, mentre gioca sul prato contiguo al giardino della sua villa, Tano trova interrato un fucile, che comincia ad intessere un dialogo col fanciullo il quale, allibito, deve accettare il fatto che "alcuni fucili parlano".
