The £1,000,000 Bank Note and Other New Stories is an 1893 collection of short stories by American writer Mark Twain.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a novel by Mark Twain. Commonly named among the Great American Novels, the work is among the first in major American literature to be written throughout in vernacular English, characterized by local color regionalism. Set in a Southern antebellum society that had ceased to exist about 20 years before the work was published, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an often scathing satire on entrenched attitudes, particularly racism.

The novel was originally titled "A Yankee in King Arthur's Court". Some early editions are titled "A Yankee at the Court of King Arthur". In it, a Yankee engineer from Connecticut is accidentally transported back in time to the court of King Arthur, where he fools the inhabitants of that time into thinking he is a magician and soon uses his knowledge of modern technology to become a "magician" in earnest, stunning the English of the Early Middle Ages with such feats as demolitions, fireworks and the shoring up of a holy well.

Hank Morgan is a man from 19th-century Connecticut who, after having a head injury, wakes to find himself 1300 years in the past in the court of King Arthur of medieval England. The people of the time notice that he is strange yet knowledgeable, but due to his odd clothing and language, is sentenced to death but avoids it by knowing of a coming eclipse and tricking the nobility into thinking he himself blotted out the sun. King Arthur elevates Hank to a ministerial position and Hank goes about trying to reeducate the people.

"Tom Sawyer Abroad" is a novel by Mark Twain published in 1894. It features Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn in a parody of Jules Verne-esque adventure stories. In the story, Tom, Huck, and Jim set sail to Africa in a futuristic hot air balloon, where they survive encounters with lions, robbers, and fleas to see some of the world's greatest wonders, including the Pyramids and the Sphinx.
