Only one city stands against the Master, his beautiful and deadly minions, and his legions of soldiers intent on conquering the mortal world. As if one Archon loose on the Southern continent wasn’t enough, now the snake-goddess Utuni has awakened. And she’s joined forces with Miralea. But the jaguar goddess is still weak after her defeat at Gryff’s hands, so there’s still a chance for Gryff to capture her. All he has to do is infiltrate enemy territory, travel to the heart of Utun’s capital, and try not to get ritually sacrificed along the way.

Phi might be taken care of, but now another problem arises to the South. Gryff and his team travel to the Southern Continent to address rumors of a risen goddess, and as they trek through the treacherous jungles, Gryff has to keep his wits about him.... Because something is watching.

Gryff has finally captured Miralea and Utuni, the two goddesses who wreaked havoc upon the Southern Continent. Now, it’s time to go home. Or…at least that was the plan. But after a surprise rift and a hurricane, Gryff finds himself stranded on an unknown island with his friends nowhere in sight. But he does encounter a shapeshifting warrior princess and gain an awesome new power, so things are definitely looking up.

In an academy that trains people to deal with monsters and mayhem, there's one challenge even Gryff may not be ready to face: final exams. On the plus side, he'll capture a giant armored monster and get to ride around on its shoulder while the beast smites things with its sword.

As Gryff learns more about the Shadowscape and the god-like Archons that rule it, the stakes keep getting higher. The angel-monster Phi is still hellbent on destroying humanity, so Gryff and his friends must spread out to the far corners of Mistral to make sure she doesn’t succeed. And then they must end her. Once and for all.

Gryff and his friends have spent the last two years battling constant rifts and hunting down ancient ciphers, but now that they’re starting to get some answers, only more questions arise. Gryff will have to be on the top of his game to stay ahead of betrayals, political coups, and goddess monsters from the shadowscape attempting to seduce him.

With the mystery of the monsters and the Shadowscape growing deeper every day, Gryff and his friends have been split up by Headmaster Sleet and sent to the far corners of the world with one mission: find some ancient ciphers that could end this war once and for all. Well, it would be except for the rifts that keep opening up on top of them, the mercenaries that want them dead, and, oh yeah, a murderous, monster angel that is seeking to bring about the end of the world as Gryff knows it.

Free from the Shadowscape, Gryff returns to the world only to find two months have passed him by, but it’s nothing compared to what’s in store for him next. Gryff has his hands full between enclaves falling, undead bounty hunters hell bent on revenge, and oh yeah, the council is out to get him, too. But Gryff has become more powerful, and none of his enemies can predict what he is now capable of.

What would you do if a sniveling slime ball of a king tried to steal one of your harem members/minions? Would you stand for his insult? Or would you kill all of his supporters, take his riches and kingdom for yourself, and rip every last ounce of stolen power from his body?

Gryff has gained a new power and a new shape-shifting wife. But his impromptu vacation is over. When his Mistral friends find him again, they inform him that Varleth is still missing, and the Archon Veopa has awakened in the country of Vay. Now, it’s up to Gryff to search for his friend and hopefully bring peace to the shape-shifting territories.

What would you do if a group of usurpers tried to murder your minion-wife and take away your kingdom? Would you destroy them, follow them home to their sovereign island, kill all the gods they worship, and then conquer their land? Yep. You would do that, and you’d laugh the entire time. The Master becomes even darker as his power increases.

When aliens came to Earth and said they needed a winner, well, I was busy running America. Fantastically. So, the next best winner was Marc Havak. Through two books he's been funny, handsome, and beaten odds that would have made ordinary men cry like losers. This third book though, I'm telling you, this book is amazing. More of everything you love. Edge-of-your-seat alien battles on fantastic worlds? Win. Smoking hot alien babes who are total 10s? Win. Enough heart and guts from the main character to fill one of my incredible hotels? Win.

My fellow Americans, we are here for one reason: the fact that I picked Marc Havak to represent us in the crucible of carnage. Now, before we talk about how fantastic I am at making world leader decisions, let’s talk about how great this sequel is. I've read many sequels, and all were bad. Very very bad. But this one? It's the best. And not just because I'm in it. No. Well, yes. I’m in it, and I always do a fantastic job with everything.

Christian Hunt and the small band of Camp Holly survivors begin their trek west toward Hoover Dam. There, Doctor Tripp believes she and the refugees that have fortified the dam can develop a cure from Christian's blood. Zombies are an ever-present danger, opportunistic humans threaten their very lives, and scabs are evolving into apex predators, with humans on the menu. As if the near impossibility of making it past all of these obstacles wasn't enough, Christian strives to search for his family. Did his parents or sister survive?
