An acoustic music album. It all started with me wishing to explore the meaning of life and why we are here on this beautiful planet at this time. The intention became producing a book embodying the spirit of those paradigm shifting ambient albums created by a few of the esoterically inclined classical composers and more contemporary artistes and bands over the decades. You feel the experience of A Healing for Gaia.

These emotive poems were inspired and written about places the poet visited during his fifteen years of living in beautiful Cheshire and the people he encountered along the way. From gorgeous rural Cheshire through to the historic Chester, and taking in the wall along the Roman Wall and remembers previous visits. A journey through time and the seasons.

I do appreciate how fortunate I am, I get to make a difference in the experience others have in their lives. Yet I know in reality what I do is show others the latent potential they always possessed within them but didn’t quite know how to apply in their day-to-day life. Stress is such a global issue. I had to do something about it. Yet what difference can one person make? Every time I see for myself the transformation someone has undergone through learning how to control their life, rather than events controlling them – I have my answer.

This is a travel book with a difference, this is a poetic journey across two continents, visiting as diverse places as the giant metropolises of Manhattan, Amsterdam and London, right down to the tiny traffic-free Channel Island of Sark!

These tales have been inspired and written about places I have visited in the evocative Red Rose County and the people I encountered along the way. Some of these are people I have met, others from the past brought to life once again through the power of words. This is a county I have come to know intimately over the decades, my first live poetry shows were right there in Lancashire and I actually lived within the Preston area when writing this collection. I always see my poetic tales as windows offering glimpses into a frozen moment of time, rather like seeds trapped within amber.
