A band of survivors connected by a profound sense of duty. They rely on their iron-fisted Home Owners Association! Which Jace Stanford and his family aren’t too keen on. Undead hordes are hard enough to deal with in a post-apocalyptic hellscape, who needs HOA fines too?

A mysterious growth covers three deer on Miller Run Road outside of Griffin, Arizona. The sickly animals are mistaken for scared until they brazenly attack a car, causing a fatal accident. Like everyone else in town, Cass “Scoop” McDaniels has lived in Griffin her entire life. When she is assigned the accident story, her findings are dismissed. The story dies with the people on the road. But Cass doesn’t give up.
