But how can Fred ignore past hurts and betrayals when the players from her old life are setting up shop in Estes Park, turning Elkhorn Avenue into a chessboard? Plenty of dirty chais and Katie's scrumptious pop tarts, along with Leo's love and Watson's snores, bring some comfort.

The Cozy Corgi bakery is under renovation, and while Winifred Page loves that her best friend, Katie, is getting her dream bakery, the noise and chaos—not to mention the lack of dirty chai—is making more than her corgi sidekick, Watson, grumpy. To afford the renovations, Katie has agreed to make the scandals of her childhood into a documentary. While she expected the project to be emotionally draining, the obnoxious producer combined with constant clashes between the interior designer and construction crew brings the tension to a breaking point.

When Fred and Leo's engagement party is disrupted by a vicious "yeti attack," Fred can't ignore the scruffy Rocky—though she dearly wishes she could—and the creature seekers who are the prime suspects. But betrayal, manipulation, and murder stalks through Estes...and as people hunt for the elusive yeti, the yeti might be doing some hunting of his own....
