I was sure that once I got married my crazy life would calm down so I could get some well-deserved romantic interludes with my new husband. It didn't. And he’s hiding something.

That’s what I thought until they came to Hollow Cove. And when I say they arrived, I mean they actually materialized—they came to life. Newly engaged, I was looking forward to some quiet, sexy time with my wereape—all kinds of horizontal refreshments in every room—you know the type. But did I get it? Nope. Instead, I get hit with fairytales that plague our town.

I took Dash’s place among The Forsaken without a moment’s hesitation—a reckless, impulsive decision and not exactly my smartest move. But there you have it. Now, I’m bound to this group until the bitter end… or my own demise. Foolish? Perhaps. But I have one more trick up my sleeve. Once again, I find myself in a dangerous game against The Forsaken, fighting to safeguard magical tablets that hold the fate of not only Moonfell but possibly the entire world.

My big day is finally here. Marcus and I are getting married—or so I thought. Unfortunately, disaster stands in the way of my happily ever after, and it comes in the form of a god—a narcissistic one, no less. Of course, it does.

I was engaged. Okay, so I wasn't technically engaged. But I did fantasize about it. A lot. Okay, all the time. No need to pretend. The only problem here was when couples got engaged, there was usually a proposal of sorts, an exchange of promises, and a mutual agreement to spend the rest of their lives together. But three weeks have now passed since the night I found that black box with that pretty ring, and still, the chief hasn't proposed. But I've got worse problems. A mysterious and ominous curse spreads across our town, and we don't know who's responsible or why it's happening.

They don’t want Shay. They want you. Okay, so these were not the words I was expecting, coming from my angel father Matiel’s mouth. But here they were. The Assassins’ Guild of Angels wants me dead. Fantastic. I mean, what’s a witch gotta do to catch a break these days? I can’t even go for a leisurely stroll without someone trying to off me.

We killed someone.... Okay, not exactly the news I wanted to hear from my aunts. But here it was. Now, what the hell was I supposed to do with it? Just when I thought I could finally get a well-deserved break from the shitshow I'd been living for the past months, I get hit with this. To make matters worse, an investigator starts snooping around Hollow Cove, asking questions about my aunts. If they're found guilty of this murder, it's a one-way ticket to Grimway Citadel - the witch prison.

Okay, so officially, I’ve resigned from the Dark Witch Court as one of the witches who clean up paranormal problems no one else wants to handle. Specifically, I deal with the demons that escape from the Veil—the invisible layer that protects our world from the Netherworld. But when I’m called in to investigate a series of human deaths at a local New York restaurant while between jobs, I’m in no position to turn down the cash. So, I unofficially take the gig.

I survived the incident with the Greater Demon. As a dark witch, I can handle pretty much any supernatural baddie that comes my way, including the occasional Greater Demon. But my struggles are far from over. When a series of unexplained witch murders plague New York City, it’s up to me to uncover the culprits and hunt them down with some good ol’ fashion magic. To make matters worse, the insufferable, drool-worthy Logan keeps popping into my life unannounced, making it extremely hard to focus on the job—and not his tight behind.

But I’m not your average witch. I’m a Dark witch, and I loooove to hunt and kill demons with good old-fashioned magic. All is well until a human girl is murdered and her soul taken by a Greater demon. It gets worse. Human bodies are dropping like flies and I have no choice but to team up with Logan, a sexy as sin angel-born warrior to solve the case. Trouble is, everyone knows angel-borns hate Dark witches. I can’t trust him. But I don’t have a choice. I’m going to solve these murders, even if the angel-born hates me, and even if the heat between us is irresistible.

Lucifer took my magic. Okay, so technically, Derrick the incubus douche took it, but he was Lucifer's guy and following orders. Still, I can't be a witch or a Merlin without magic. Can my life get any worse? Of course, it can. As I try to adjust and accept life without a drop of magic in my veins, Marcus disappears. Well, not exactly, more like he ghosts me. He's not returning my calls or my texts. Just when I think I finally have my love life on track, it gets derailed, and my heart is slowly torn apart.

I should be happy for her. Right? But I'm not. Because I know this Derrick character is bad news. Call it my witchy instincts, but I'm convinced something is seriously off with the guy. So how do I prove it to my aunt? The pressure is on as I only have four days to figure it out before the wedding—yes, four days until Beverly says, "I do" to that slimy bastard. As the clues start to come together, I have to wade through a pack of lies to get to the truth and find out who Derrick Baudelaire really is—and what he's hiding.

I thought my life was finally going my way. Boy, was I wrong. When a new job lands in my lap from the Dark Witch Court, with a very large paycheck, I take it. It should have been an easy gig. I was wrong again. Nothing is what it seems. When members of the Gray Council wind up dead, a new evil closes in and I find myself on a dangerous path. Just when I thought I could kick back and relax, the madness of the Netherworld and demons pulls me right back in. And I have no choice but to kick some serious butt.

In my life, when things go bad, they go notoriously bad. As if having a greater demon hunting me wasn’t bad enough, or a demented archangel trying to kill me, try doing a job for a fae queen I hate. Why? Because, someone close to me is about to lose everything if I don’t find a crapload of money soon. But without any other jobs coming up, I’m stuck. So, when the fae queen of the Dark Court offers me a gig, I take it.

Landing in jail was not how I expected to spend the rest of the night. Nope. I had imagined some horizontal mambo with a certain uber-hot giant. Instead, I find myself stuck in a 10-by-10 cell, hungry, and with a serious need to pee every hour, with only the cold stone walls and the occasional cockroach as my companions. I’m trapped in the bowels of the Gray Council building. And I don’t know if I’ll ever get out.

Guests avoid The Twilight Hotel like the plague after the teeny-weeny demon invasion. To keep the hotel from financial ruin, management decides to host a Casino Week to get things going again. Sounds great. There’s just one problem. People in our paranormal community turn up dead.

A string of lifeless bodies haunt the streets of Moonfell, each one more gruesome than the last. Werewolf gone mad? Possibly. But as the bodies pile up, doubt creeps in. Something about this feels off, and I can’t help but wonder if something more sinister is at play. While I try to unravel the mysteries surrounding Moonfell’s recent deaths, Dash continues to weave in and out of my life with his own secrets and agendas. As the body count rises, a threat looms over my life, and I can’t help but feel like I am walking through a minefield with no way out.

After I’d agreed to do a job for the fae queen I hate, the entire world went to hell - literally. Now, it’s my job to clean up my mess before she creates new nasties with the white grace and kills us all - yeah, my fault, too. It gets better. The legion of angels have put a bounty on my head for the murder of the archangel Vedriel, which was in totally self-defense, but it’s not like they care.
