Tandis que Merry et Pippin rencontrent les fascinants Ents de la forêt de Fangorn, Aragorn, Gimli et Legolas affrontent les Orques et les Cavaliers du Rohan, avant de rencontrer un mystérieux cavalier blanc. Frodo et Sam, de leur côté, suivent Gollum le long des chemins périlleux qui mènent vers le royaume du Mordor, le seul lieu où l'Anneau pourrait être détruit.

But he senses that he will be snatched away from his work long before it is finished - if indeed it could ever be finished in this world. Im Auenland gehen merkwürdige Dinge vor. Sauron ist wieder erstarkt und die Schatten seines Reiches Mordor werden länger...
