Ponniyin Selvan is a historical fiction novel about the Chozha reign during 900-950 AD by Kalki Krishnamurthy, originally written in Tamil. The plot revolves around the power struggle and conspiracies around the ruling King Sundara Chozhan and his sons Aditya Karikalan and Arulmozhivarman.
