In 1952, Gray Barker became a state representative in the first civilian UFO group, the International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB), headed by a World War II veteran named Albert K. Bender. Bender, who had been stationed at Fort George Meade (home of the NSA), and Langley Field (today's aerial drone headquarters), seemed to be genuinely interested not only in UFOs, but also in the strange psychic phenomena surrounding their appearances.

Following the appearance of flying saucers in 1947, the world experienced a wave of UFOs for several years. By 1955, however, sightings appeared to have dropped significantly.

Jessup, and his possible relationship to the Philadelphia Experiment. Jessup's own book, The Case For the UFO, perhaps the first to argue that UFOs were an ongoing terrestrial phenomena, had become a blockbuster, and was reprinted by the Varo Corporation, under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.

New Saucerian unveils its latest ufological classic, Gray Barker's Book of Adamski, an in-depth look at George Adamski, perhaps the most famous UFO contactee who ever lived. The Book of Adamski contains writings by George Adamski and various ufologists who knew him personally, such as Gray Barker, Desmond Leslie, Alice K. Wells, and Michael G. Mann.

In many respects, this is the sequel to his earlier bestsellers They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers (a chronicle of the harassment faced by early UFO researchers) and The Silver Bridge (Barker's on-the-scene investigation of the Mothman events of the 1960s). Since Barker died a year after the release of MIB: Secret Terror, it was not widely distributed.
