As the group on Earth plans their trip to the Orion Corporation factory, Aubrey is concerned that Ilya is making the wrong decision in coming along with them. Ilya, however, insists that this is something that she needs to do. They know that there is something in that factory that holds meaning to her beyond what she will tell them, and together, they must make the journey to discover the answers that they all seek.

Zsilvia is still struggling with her feelings for George as tortured memories of her past keep her from accepting that he is her intended mate and allowing herself to give in to his attention. Instead, she has separated herself from him and spends her time observing his efforts with the rest of the women to find a solution to the locked people in the settlement. An emotional conversation with Eden makes her start to question her own fears and think that she may be ready to take the next step with George. However, the surprising arrival of another shuttle makes her rethink everything.

The threat of the Covra gone, the Denynso are trying to help the Light Ones pick up the pieces and move forward. As Lynx spends more time with Rain he realizes that as deeply as he loves her, he doesn't really know much about her. Together they decide that it is time that they all talk about what happened and try to understand how this situation came to be. As they are gathering in the meeting hall with everyone else now in the settlement, two of their number are missing.

Bannack has been devoted to battle his entire life, but there is something that he knows is far more important to him, and he doesn't want to wait any longer. Remembering the question that he had asked when he first bonded with Loralia, he starts planning to give her the tying ceremony that she has always wanted. Even though it can't be anything that either of them ever imagined, he knows now that there is no such thing as a perfect moment, and that they truly have everything that they need.

Jonah is still reeling from his encounter with Aubrey in the lab and the sudden way that she ran away from him, but he knows that he can't let thoughts of her distract him. There is still so much work to do, and now that he is alone again, he needs to work even harder. When Aubrey shows up again, he wonders if it is more than professional curiosity that draws her to him. Together they keep digging, discovering new details that seem to make the situation more confusing rather than bringing them closer to clarity.

In his short time back on Earth Jacob has realized that his unlikely friendship with Jem has led him into something he could never have imagined, but that something within him is driving him to stay and join the fight. In an instant Jacob is confronted with his past and with a future that he might not ever be able to have. With the battle with the hybrids over, most of the group is recovering and working to heal the wounded, but Eden can't get the voice of the dying hybrid out of her head.

As the group copes with what they have discovered in the hidden wing of the basement, Samira and Ty uncover something that forces Jacob to come face to face with his past. Rilex struggles to come to terms with what Ryan has done, especially when he learns something about the intriguing woman who pled for Eden's help, that starts him reevaluating everything that he has thought and felt.

The Covra seem to be gone, but Loralia's cryptic warning is still lingering with the men. As Ciyrs works on healing Ty and Vax and Lynx searches his dreams for Rain, all of the men know that the time is counting down on their ability to save all of the Light Ones. Without knowing what they were thinking or why they chose to lock the people of the settlement rather than killing them, however, they worry that they won't be able to release them from their binds in time.

On Earth, getting inside the factory proves difficult, and once they are inside, Ilya's memories of the first time that she was there bring to light a struggle that she has been facing in silence, while spending time with Mordecai creates feelings that she didn't think she would ever experience again.

As Jonah continues to delve into what the mysterious patient files and the pristine examination room in the abandoned medical ward might mean, his mind keeps wandering back to the woman he encountered in the hallway outside of the lab. It was only a brief encounter, but one that left a lasting impression. When he sees her again, it might have lasting influence on the work that he is trying to accomplish and the life that he may have now that he is back on Earth.

The groups have divided like they never have before. Maxim, Ivy, and Kyven have made the decision to go back to the Mikana kingdom to unravel the mystery of their father's death and understand more about the order. Accompanied by a few of the humans from the settlement, as well as Denynso warriors and a few of the Mikana, they head out into a journey out of which none of them really know what to expect.

After an attack by the Klimnu, Eden's knocking on death's door. Pyra rushes her to the Denynso healer, and it turns out he has to do more than heal her. He has to bring her back to life. It's the first in Denynso history, and no one knows what to expect or how things will go for Eden. A side effect of the healer's gift is a link bonding them together forever. Pyra is struggling to deal with his mate's attachment to Ciyrs and doesn't know what to do. The more he fights it the more the wall between him and Eden grows....

Ciyrs continues to lose his mind until he finds Eliana. However, she's come with another woman who is unconscious. No one can figure out what happened and he can't get her to wake up. Neither can Eden. Eliana feels so many things. She's happy she was saved, but she can't stop thinking about the woman she saved. Something about the woman calls to her, but in the meantime she has to deal with the fact that her mate is connected to Eden, and that means so is she. There are too many emotions to take. It's time for the Denynso to fight back.

Leia is used to spending her life hiding the pain and torment she faces, but now that she has found her mate, Gyyx has proven to her that she can feel safe and loved. It has been a few weeks since she escaped the clutches of the Klimnu and the warriors burned the prison to the ground. Now she feels it is time that they know what really happened to her during the 57 days they imprisoned her. Leia shares the story of how what she thought was going to be the opportunity to study and learn turned into a terrifying fight for her life.

The Traitor Ullie is dead, but that doesn't seem to have stopped the threat of the Klimnu that hangs over the Denynso. The discovery of a mysterious rock tunnel and the realization that it might have been an integral part of Ullie's traitorous assistance of the Klimnu sends the entire clan into a flurry of action. Now fully mated to Ty and completely devoted to living her life as part of this clan and this planet, Samira dedicates herself to uncovering the mystery of the tunnel.

The last Klimnu attack had a much deeper impact on Ero than he thought it would. Ever since he found Leia after she killed her captor, he has been filled with aggression, anger, and a sense of violence that he just can't shake. It has caused him to get into several fights with the other warriors, who are always able to get the upper hand because Ero is so much smaller than they are. Eventually, he turns to running. He runs farther, faster, and harder than he has ever run, trying to escape the strange emotions and uncomfortable physical effects.

After days of his nameless mate being in some sort of coma, Gyyx can't take it anymore. Eliana gave him the key to make her better, but he didn't feel right, and after all the testing Ciyrs has put her through, he knows it's time to test the theory, but he still feels weird about it. He takes her home and hopes his touch will bring her back to life. He can't go on without knowing who she is, or what she suffered in the hands of the Klimnu. But when she wakes up, will Gyyx be able to convince her he isn't taking advantage of her or like the ones who kept her prisoner?

Zuri can't believe she let herself fall into the arms of the arrogant jerk who thinks that she is too big to be respected. Now that she's slept with Ero in the heat of the moment, she knows she can't stay on Uoria any longer. The combination of the Klimnu attack, the insulting jokes, and the fact that she can't stop thinking about the beautiful warrior and wishing she was back in his arms is enough to make her run, and she does, right back to Earth. Is this the end of Ero and Zuri?

On Earth Jonah continues to uncover more in the files and begins to wonder if there is more to the aged hospital than they thought, leading him to head back into the laboratory building without the benefit of the rest of the group.
