Sadly, those days ended the moment my fiery side emerged. I'm a fire elemental. Mind blown. The deadly Poreskoro family wants to feed on my fae essence. Rude. And if they succeed, they'll gain the strength to rebuild their army of evil. Terrifying. Meine Einstellung zum Leben ist nicht kompliziert – jeder Tag, der vergeht, an dem niemand versucht, mich oder jemanden, den ich liebe, zu töten, wird in die Spalte "guter Tag" eingetragen. Einfach, oder? In letzter Zeit sind gute Tage schwer zu finden. Seit ich vor drei Monaten die Warnung meines Vaters völlig ignoriert habe und nach Irland geflogen bin, um unser supergeheimes Erbe anzunehmen, sehe ich die Welt in einem anderen Licht – einem mythischen und magischen Licht. Ich bin eine Druidin.

Seit ich als Thronfolgerin gehandelt werde, wurde ich niedergestochen, entführt, auf die schwarze Liste gesetzt, gefoltert, ins Visier genommen und beschuldigt, die Ursache für so ziemlich jedes magische Unglück zu sein, das in den Straßen Torontos passiert ist. Für manche bin ich ein Ärgernis, für andere eine Kuriosität und wieder andere ein Problem, das beseitigt werden muss. Was soll's, wer hasst, muss hassen. Aber wenn eine dunkle und gefährliche Pilzwolke über meiner Familie und meinen Freunden aufzieht, bleibt mir nichts anderes übrig, als dem Ruf zu folgen und zu kämpfen.

Ich habe eine Familie, von der ich nichts wusste, ein magisches Erbe, das seinen Anspruch erhebt und ein Geheimnis, das ich anscheinend lösen muss. Es gibt drei Dinge, die ich im Leben am meisten liebe... meine wilde und verrückte irische Familie, Redbreast Whiskey im Shenanigans und das Leben in Toronto. Da ich mit fünf älteren Brüdern aufgewachsen bin, kann ich mich aus den meisten Situationen herauskämpfen, entweder mit meinem verruchten Sinn für Humor oder mit meinen Fäusten.

Ich reiße mir täglich den Arsch auf, um die Ecken und Kanten zu glätten, nachdem ich mit meinem Freund zusammengezogen bin, um mich bei wütenden Mitmenschen zu entschuldigen und um mich mit den feindseligen Schwiegereltern zu versöhnen. An der Heimatfront läuft es gut, mit meinem Job, meiner Familie und meinen Freunden. Ich habe alles im Griff, richtig? Falsch!

Cela est très utile car ceux que je prends en tant que druidesse me font regretter les bonnes vieilles bagarres, les écorchures et les querelles avec mes frères. On ne peut plus reculer et honnêtement, je ne le ferais pas si je le pouvais. Dans une ville où les vampires, les mages et les hobgoblins me détestent, j'ai du mal à me défendre et à mener le bon combat. Mais j'ai été choisie pour porter la marque des Fianna pour une raison. Je suis Fiona-fecking-Cumhaill.

Pour certains, je suis une nuisance, pour d’autres une rareté et pour d’autres encore un problème à éliminer. Les rageux vont rager. Mais lorsqu’une vague de dangers s’abat sur ma famille et mes amis, il n’y a rien d’autre à faire que de répondre à l’attaque et de se battre. Qui agit dans l’ombre ?

Und wie cool ist das? Na ja ... der Teil mit den Ermittlungen, nicht so sehr der Mord.

An guten Tagen stürzt mich das Fianna-Zeichen in brenzlige Situationen. Es ist ein Durcheinander, aber ich schaffe es, es mit der Hilfe meiner wunderbaren Familie und Freunden zusammenzuhalten: den mythischen, den magischen und den sterblichen.
