A perfect storm of a destructive meteor shower, cyber attack, and EMP blasts have left the USA and the rest of the world devastated. The grid is down, electronics are fried, modern transportation is dead, and thousands of huge rocks broke away from an asteroid and pummeled the Earth killing millions while destroying much of the infrastructure. Tom and his friends from Stony Creek, Arizona try to survive this perfect storm while a cartel hitman searches for Tom.

It was mid-winter when the USA was being invaded, making life in the USA questionable at best. Zack's team decided to flee the country. The island they chose is paradise, except it's run by a benevolent dictator, and they must choose between safety and freedom. Will Zack and his followers settle for safety, but lose their dignity and freedom? What can Zack do to lead his team to solve the dilemma?

Zack is still recovering from his loss and trying to prepare his friends and family for the challenges of surviving in a new world full of danger and criminals around every corner. They meet a lot of good people and run into some dangerous "old enemies" in this post-apocalyptic tale.
