Dass man den so unheimlichen und doch so natürlichen Geschehnissen, die ich jetzt berichten will, Glauben schenkt, erwarte ich nicht, verlange es auch nicht. Ich müsste wirklich wahnsinnig sein, wenn ich da Glauben verlangen wollte, wo ich selbst das Zeugnis meiner eigenen Sinne verwerfen möchte. Doch wahnsinnig bin ich nicht - und sicherlich träume ich auch nicht. Morgen aber muss ich sterben, und darum will ich heute meine Seele entlasten.
