A month after her 24th birthday, Lt. Mary Elizabeth Balster collapses among the rubble of a shelled supply room. I originally hand wrote this book in the mid to late 90s, but had never published it. It is a prequel to my book I Am Here: My Faith Journey as a Survivor, published May 2022. The prequel spans my courtship, nine year marriage that was emotionally abusive, and my divorce after having two children.

Heinrich Heine, 1797 in Düsseldorf geboren, gest. 1856 in Paris, wo er seit 1831 lebte; einer der Hauptvertreter des Jungen Deutschland. In spätromantischen Gedichten verbindet er Empfindungsreichtum mit Skepsis und Ironie („Buch der Lieder“ 1827; „Romanzero“ 1851). Sein geistvoller und plaudernder Prosastil („Reisebilder“ 1826 bis 1831) machte ihn zum Begründer des modernen Feuilletonismus.
