Nach Feuersterns Tod führt nun Brombeerstern den DonnerClan an. Seine Jungen Erlenpfote und Funkenpfote könnten unterschiedlicher nicht sein: Funkenpfote ist die geborene Kriegerin, während Erlenpfote jeglicher Jagdinstinkt fehlt. Aber er hat andere Fähigkeiten. Nach Verkündung der Prophezeiung träumt er von Katzen in einer Schlucht, die in großer Not sind und ihn um Hilfe anflehen.
