Henry James (1843 - 1916) fue un escritor y crítico literario estadounidense y nacionalizado británico, conocido por sus novelas y relatos basados en el punto de vista, técnica que le permitió el análisis psicológico de sus personajes. Narrador de dramas costumbristas, también se interesó por el género de intriga, suspenso y lo sobrenatural.
