But the open roads present a challenge, as the group is low on gas, and has no place to call home. As stress levels rise among them, a divide begins to form. Will wants answers about what happened to him, while Gabriel only wants to get home as fast as possible.

The campground was supposed to be safe. Now, Will, Holly, and Charlie are left scrambling to save Dylan after he is bit by an Empty. After performing a field amputation, they’re forced to leave the campground and seek out medical attention for the boy, before it’s too late.

Inching ever closer to Gabriel’s home in Alexandria, VA, the group is forced to rest and recover with the doctor, Timothy, and his community of survivors. Holly has been shot, and Gabriel and Jessica are working through their trauma from being imprisoned at the school.

After an EMP plunged the world into chaos, Deb found herself joining a group of hardworking survivors. At first, she’s grateful not to be alone. But her hopes and dreams soon become a nightmare, when she’s left in charge of a group of runaways, fleeing from Mike, the brutal man who kept them captive. Mike is determined to reclaim Carol and her baby, and to wreak vengeance on Deb for taking his family away from him.
