Siden Anita Krumbach modtog Kulturministeriets Børnebogspris 2009 for sin debutroman "Et mærkeligt skib" har hun arbejdet på en ny roman for store børn og unge. "Den som Fanden lytter til" handler om skyld og soning og er skrevet i samme sprogligt stramme stil, hvor der er sparet på ordene, men til gengæld står meget mellem linjerne. Alt fryser til is den vinter, hvor det forfærdelige sker med Vinas bror, Johan. En hændelse der gør Vina sort af skyld, og som får familien til at flytte, hver gang kulden bider sig fast.
