A colleague of Dr. Watson asks Sherlock Holmes for help: His patient Joseph Merrick, known in public as the "elephant man", because of his strong physical deformations, was the victim of a brutal assault. Holmes and Watson take over the case, which takes them to the circus milieu.

The Sea-Wolf is a 1904 psychological adventure novel by American writer Jack London. The book's protagonist, Humphrey van Weyden, is a literary critic who is a survivor of an ocean collision and who comes under the dominance of Wolf Larsen, the powerful and amoral sea captain who rescues him. While Sherlock is running errands, Dr. Watson receives a potential client in his place on Baker Street. The problem presented, though, seems to be of little relevance, which is why the case was declined. However, a few hours later a serious crime actually happens within the circle of the associate.

The Confidence-Man: His Masquerade was the last major novel by Herman Melville, the American writer and author of Moby-Dick. The novel portrays a Canterbury Tales-style group of steamboat passengers whose interlocking stories are told as they travel down the Mississippi River toward New Orleans. The novel's title refers to its central character, an ambiguous figure who sneaks aboard a Mississippi steamboat on April Fool's Day.

Holmes and Watson travel to Bristol to investigate a murder. In the prestigious Walsingham School, a boarding school for young women of status, where the French teacher was brutally assaulted. Local Police are in the dark and the school principal asks the famous detective and his dear friend Watson from London for help.

Advised to take a day off, Holmes and Watson take a trip to the Royal Parks of Kew Gardens. But life has something else in store for them. Inside the alm house a bizarly placed body was found. The local security manager asks Holmes and Watson for their help. Can they solve the case before Scotland Yard arrives?

Inspector Lestrade asks Sherlock Holmes for help when the Chinese owner of an opium cave is murdered in London. Holmes, however, is not in full possession of his detecting skills, and Dr. Watson has to take over at first. At the scene he finds a big mystery.

A precious artifact has been stolen from the library at Trinity College in Dublin. Holmes and Watson take on the challenge to solve the case and retrieve the historical artifact. Success is of the utmost importance. Otherwise it could spell disaster for the political stability of the British Empire.

After a series of attacks on the Ottoman administration in Palestine, Sherlock Holmes receives an order from the British government: he is to travel to Jerusalem with Dr. Watson to track down the disruptors and prevent any further destabilization of the region.
