Far less attention has been paid to the interpersonal, social dimensions of a minimally decent life. Die meisten Nachrichtenartikel und Fernsehsendungen über wahre Verbrechen überfliegen die abscheulichen Details der wirklich schrecklichen Verbrechen. In meinen Büchern beschönige ich die Fakten nicht, egal wie abscheulich sie auch sein mögen. Ich versuche, meinen Lesern eine klare und genaue Beschreibung davon zu geben, wie wahnsinnig die Mörder wirklich waren.

In Fernsehkrimis und in den Nachrichten werden die wirklich schrecklichen Stellen oft beschönigt, aber in der Reihe True Crime Case Histories wird kein einziges Detail ausgelassen.
