De tror, at jeg er den perfekte barnepige. De kunne ikke tage mere fejl... Nogle mennesker ville være nervøse for at skulle flytte til en fjerntliggende bjerglandsby for at arbejde for en familie, de ikke kender, men mr. og mrs. Mayer tager imod mig med åbne arme. Og det passer mig godt, for det betyder, at de ikke ved, hvorfor jeg egentlig er her. Da jeg ankommer, forbløffes jeg over det flotte familiehjem og Robin og Pauls overdådige livsstil, som jeg selv ikke i min vildeste fantasi ville have råd til. Det er trods alt ikke alles barndom, der er fuld af varm æbletærte, kærlighed og latter eller trygheden ved villa og Volvo.

Och det är bra. Det betyder att de inte vet varför jag egentligen är här. Jag blir imponerad av Robin och Pauls fantastiska hus och överdådiga livsstil. De lever på ett sätt jag inte skulle ha råd med ens i mina vildaste drömmar.
