Avery Shaw has the world at her fingertips...and a pile of dead Santas near the railroad tracks. Interestingly, she’s more focused on the Santas than her personal life, but only because she’s been warned that a proposal is imminent from her live-in love Eliot Kane and she needs to look somewhere else - anywhere else will do - rather than accept what he’s trying to offer. Avery never pictured herself married but it appears it might be happening...no matter how she tries to dodge and weave. The Santas make an enticing distraction, so Avery throws herself in with gusto.

Halloween is Avery Shaw’s favorite time of year. What’s not to love? Slasher movies, hot chocolate, and corn mazes. She’s addicted to them all. During a visit to one of those mazes, she runs across several men trying to kidnap a teenage girl. In true Avery fashion, she intervenes...resulting in a severe injury. While she’s on the mend, she starts tracking information on a group of people working in the area.

The city that never sleeps has something lurking in the darkness and Poet Parker can't decide if it's friend or foe. The rich history of the area comes into play when research uncovers a mine disaster more than 100 years in the past...and a tragic outcome that still haunts the locale to this day. Between dust storms bringing forth a creature with glowing red eyes, screams in the desert and Poet's increasing conviction that they're not alone, the team has their hands full. That's on top of the fact that Max decides now is the time to make his move.

Hemlock Cove is buzzing with activity - and very little of it has to do with Thanksgiving. The town is christening a new wishing well - dedicated by Mrs. Little herself - and Landon and Bay are eager to attend the unveiling. In truth, Landon is in it for the doughnuts and hot chocolate, but Bay is dedicated to covering the event in the best possible way. In quick succession, weird things start happening around Hemlock Cove. Bay figures out what's going on - and it all comes back to that wishing well.

Landon is happy to spend time with Bay, but things shift a bit when a local woman goes missing and Bay becomes obsessed with finding her. Since she's a witch and magic - and occasionally mayhem - follows Bay wherever she goes, Landon has his hands full putting on a good show for his co-workers and helping Bay stay out of trouble. Landon is determined to prove that he can have it all, a magical girlfriend and her wacky family included. To get what he wants, though, he has to make it through a tough weekend...oh, and solve a crime on the side.

When Overlook helper Belinda gets a chance to go to a special conference and learn about opening her own business, Thistle volunteers to watch Belinda's daughter Annie. Thistle was the queen of rotten children so she thinks Annie will be easy. That feeling only lasts until Annie disappears into the frigid woods surrounding Hemlock Cove. Answers are never easy, and when clues start rolling in, Thistle and Aunt Tillie are left to piece together a puzzle that is years in the making and could have dire consequences.

Great-Aunt Tillie is selling wine at the curb of The Overlook - like it's a lemonade stand - and her mother and aunts are about to burn someone at the stake. Unfortunately, it's up to her and cousin Bay to put out the fire. When the two cousins take a stand, they're interrupted by the arrival of an injured and dazed little girl. She won't speak, and she appears to have undergone some sort of trauma.

When her father approaches her with an opportunity to serve as an in-house psychic for the opening of his new inn, Clove jumps at the chance. It will be an opportunity for her and Sam to spend some much-needed time alone - and have some fun in the process. Of course, since she's a Winchester witch, nothing goes as planned.

FBI Agent Landon Michaels is looking forward to a weekend of fun and ease with his witchy love, Bay Winchester. Unfortunately for him, relaxation isn't in the cards. A series of storms hits, and the Michigan populace starts turning downright dangerous. Aisling is convinced the storms are magical in origin. Of course, because she’s prone to theatrical fits, no one believes her...until the storms hit too close to home, and Aisling herself is in danger from the one person she trusts above all others. As a cop, Griffin Davenport is used to putting his life on the line. What he’s not comfortable with is being a threat to the people he’s supposed to be helping. The storms, you see, don’t affect reapers, but those they love are in a heap of danger.
