If you have downloaded this audiobook, it is likely that you are struggling to cope with a parent who is difficult. I hope that the knowledge that we have collected over the past four decades will help you with the difficult person in your life, and will hopefully encourage the difficult relationship toward some sort of sanity and peace.

Anxiety can escalate to another level. When a person is exposed to traumatic or negative events where they feel little or no control in the outcome, the anxiety can turn into post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If you have enough recurring events in your life that are traumatic, you may even be diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD).

Most people don’t realize it, but emotional fear and anxiety can be subdued and brought to its knees. You can tap into your creative mind and use it as a tool to dispel your CPTSD and the associated trauma and brain atrophy that occurs after trauma.

Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) is a disorder which often gets diagnosed for people who do not fall under other mental disorders or personality disorders, but who experience rage incidents which are seemingly uncontrollable to them. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, "IED affects as many as 7.3 percent of adults - 11.5-16 million Americans". It is also estimated by NIMH that "six million...adolescents...meet the criteria for an IED diagnosis".

You might wonder why you need to know how to identify narcissists, psychopaths, Machiavellians, and sadists. The Dark Triad is a theory of evolution that indicates that traits of psychopathy, narcissism, and manipulativeness are becoming more and more prevalent in our society. These cut-throat personalities are designed by evolution to be physically and emotionally strong, to survive at all costs, and to get ahead financially.

This book analyzes the rude and critical natures of Aspie and OCPD husbands. It is intended to be a support guide for the nonspectrum and neurotypical partners who marry these men. The book is not intended to be listened to by a person with Asperger's syndrome or OCPD, as it puts names and labels to the abrasive and abusive behaviors that are typical with the brain wiring and genetics at the root of the spectrum disorders.

There is clearly an epidemic of narcissism - a contagion of sorts - that is occurring across the globe. Narcissism is generally handed down from one generation to the next. It is said that nearly one in four people has narcissistic tendencies. It is likely that the number of narcissists will only continue to increase. Many people wonder why or how the narcissist seems to have two distinct personalities.

Narcissists are everywhere. It is said that we are in the midst of a narcissist epidemic. Some sources claim that one in four people is a narcissist. This means that your child, parent, neighbor, coworker, friend, or partner could very well be a narcissist. Narcissists are often not harmful when they keep to themselves. The narcissist is a force to be reckoned with. He has a nihilistic view of the world. He views his life as pointless. He has no religion, and most narcissists will actively consider themselves as being agnostic or atheistic. He has no guided purpose in his life. He is bored and listless. The only thing that gives a narcissist real pleasure is seeing other people in emotional pain, confusion, and suffering at his hands.

You just went through something in your life that you don't feel you can handle. You're feeling extremely anxious and depressed. Thoughts are racing through your mind. You either can't stop thinking about the problem or you refuse to think about it at all. Other people keep asking you what is wrong with you. They are concerned that you don't seem to be handling things well. You don't know any other way to handle the situation that you are in. You seem to be lacking the planning and coping skills that other people have.

Many listeners email me each day. They typically have problems with the men in their lives. The truth that most of them don't realize is that their emotionally unavailable man or narcissistic man has an undiagnosed syndrome, complex, or disorder. Men often don't seek diagnoses for these issues that have been an ingrained part of their personality since they were born. They want acceptance and a sense of belonging from their partners, and they are often as unable to get these things from his partner as she is unable to get emotional validation from him.

Many people have heard of trauma and PTSD. But when we think of PTSD, many of us think of nightmares and flashbacks that are related to one traumatic incident or event that has been experienced by the sufferer. There is another form of PTSD that's related to being exposed to repetitive trauma. It is called Complex PTSD, coined by a woman named Judith Herman.

Many of my readers and listeners write to me, and they often want to know how to improve or fix a relationship between a narcissistic personality disordered (NPD) man and a borderline personality disordered (BPD) woman. This dynamic duo tends to get together a lot more than people seem to realize. This duo is one of the most difficult relationships to maintain but can also be one of the most rewarding love connections realized by both sides of the duo.

He is passive-aggressive, fatalistic, negativistic, critical and stubborn. The narcissist uses many tactics to alienate the children from others in their life. Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is known to be a condition in which people usually have hypermobile joints and stretchy skin. This is what physicians generally look for when they are considering EDS diagnoses. The truth is that EDS can present in many different ways. There are many different types and forms of EDS, and they affect very different parts of a person's body. A physician who looks for only two signs is missing the big picture of the family history and the patient's symptoms in relation to an EDS diagnosis.

Asperger's Syndrome, or high-functioning autism, is a form of autism that falls on the autism spectrum. Asperger's Syndrome can be seen in adults and in children if you know what to look for. Many people who can be described as hypersensitive, odd or eccentric have Asperger's Syndrome which has gone undiagnosed. Some of the greatest comedians, singers, actors and inventors have Asperger's syndrome. They specialize in what they are good at, and they can become highly successful in doing so.

If you have been around a narcissist for any length of time, odds are good that you are suffering from narcissistic abuse syndrome. The label doesn’t matter so much. The cause of your symptoms matters most. The narcissist is a toxic entity. Most people don’t realize it, but once you invite a narcissist in, the narcissist’s hive descends down on you. They pull you back into their nest of angry hornets, and you suffer the stings over and over from them...until you extract yourself from the hive. Some people are never able to get out alive.
