In a quiet corner of a rural Irish-Scottish settlement, a young girl named Bridget McDonald tended to her family's sheep. Her sturdy boots squelched in the damp earth, and she hummed a lilting tune as the animals grazed around her. The sky above was a canvas of shifting grays, hinting at rain but holding its tongue for now. Bridget's red hair was tied back in a loose braid that danced in the breeze, and her freckled cheeks bore the rosy hue of a life spent outdoors. Her eyes, a deep blue, mirrored the sky's indecision.

Jackson Stafford, the main character in the series, is being transferred from the Pandora Project back to the recruit training command near Chicago when a winter storm causes one of the jet engines on the plane owned by the investors to flame out. Ice freezing on the fuselage creates a situation causing the jet to plummet to the ground with no hope of recovery. During the descent, Ben, Jackson’s mental friend who lives in the inner room, creates a way that the passengers may be saved.

Gustavo, the undercover agent has followed the three courageous investigators to Trenton, NJ, on the south side of town where his surveillance vehicle has recorded everything that has transpired between Sarah, Deb, Matt, and La Tulipan.
