Mi aspetto che una partecipazione così massiccia finisca sulle prime pagine di tutti i quotidiani e in apertura di tutti i tg. Invece nulla. Silenzio. Perché tutta questa reticenza? Decido di indagare. La mia inchiesta parte da qui. Ma questa storia parte dal 2014, quando l'Italia è diventata la nazione capofila a livello mondiale delle strategie vaccinali.

Di fronte a problemi che nessun governo nazionale è in grado di risolvere, elettori e politici, sfiduciati verso la globalizzazione, inseguono le sirene del populismo. Spaventati dai fantasmi di una sovranità che sembra svanire, stiamo cosi distruggendo proprio quegli strumenti che ci consentirebbero di ricostruirla in un mondo che non è più quello dominato dagli Stati nazionali. Oggi gli utili si fanno conquistando miliardi di consumatori a cui migliorare la vita.

In Italia, quasi tutti i giorni muore un partito. In Italia, quasi tutti i giorni nasce un nuovo movimento. È difficile votare due volte di fila lo stesso simbolo, lo stesso schieramento, lo stesso leader. Essere di sinistra, in Italia, è un inferno. Cosa direbbe Freud, vedendo che oggi sono i padri, più o meno nobili, a ribellarsi a figli ingrati e rottamatori? E cosa direbbe Nietzsche di fronte all'eterno ritorno di una storia sempre diversa e sempre uguale a se stessa?

Ciò ha lasciato segni evidenti sul successivo sviluppo politico e sulle architetture istituzionali.
