Che ne è dell'onore? Una parola dalla storia impegnativa, che ha i suoi momenti alti nell'antichità e nell'età feudale dove in seno al mondo cavalleresco diviene un irrinunciabile valore immateriale, differenziandosi in complesse gerarchie e sottili variabili di casta, di condizione socioeconomica, di età, di sesso. Non solo pigrizia ma anche tristezza, sconforto, inquietudine, indifferenza, noia, e soprattutto depressione. Se nasce come peccato capitale nella visione religiosa, l'accidia diventa malattia psichiatrica nella visione laica e moderna.
