The end-of-year Sandy Bay Festival is an opportunity for the town to display its history, promote local businesses, and attract visitors to the best-kept secret in the Pacific Northwest. Meghan Truman is ecstatic when she discovers she’s won an all-expense paid trip to Paris for a food and baking convention. She’s never been to Europe and is looking forward to the sights, smells and people. Her trip takes a very sour turn when one of the chief conference speakers is reported missing and subsequently found dead in her hotel room. Meghan is shocked when she’s informed she has been identified as a person of interest who the police want to speak to.

Meghan Truman always had a dream to become a Hollywood actress. Hollywood decided she wasn’t good enough. She left Hollywood broken but with a burning desire to start afresh in the Pacific Northwest, pursuing her second dream - opening a bakery. She never expected that the owner of a rival establishment would be found dead and all eyes would be focused on her as the prime suspect.

When Meghan is invited to cater for the wedding of one of the oldest citizens of Sandy Bay, she’s happy for the bride-to-be and the opportunity to introduce the guests to her latest creation - orange mousse!
