Come tutti i bambini, Luca si è affezionato molto alla nuova cittadina, diventata il suo luogo di vita quotidiana, e la favola pertanto è stata ambientata proprio a Ovada, ma molto molto tempo prima, come ogni favola che si rispetti! Il personaggio principale, protagonista indiscusso della storia, è il Draghetto Rosso, che diventa molto amico di Luca.
