In the 1960s, Don Elkins was a respected physics professor and commercial airline pilot living in Louisville, Kentucky. But behind closed doors, he was leading secretive groups who believed they were in contact with the occupants of UFOS. Decades before the term “non-human intelligence” made headlines, Elkins was recording hours of sessions with a human “instrument”—conversations he believed were real, urgent, and meant for humanity. In 1984, after years of increasingly strange behavior and growing isolation, Elkins died by suicide following a six-hour standoff with police and ...

Pro-freedom discussion which AVOIDS Coercion and Hypocrisy. This is a consistent application of postmodernism to reveal subjectivity/perspective. The goal is NOT to determine right or wrong, rather to explore better ideas to make nearly everyone satisfied if not happier. The goal restated is de-escalation through innovation. Story1
The goal of this course is to provide an overview of the many different ways writers of fiction and nonfiction have imagined, and reimagined, the object known as the Grail. We'll look at how the Grail was invented as a powerful literary symbol in the late 12th and early 13th centuries by a group of medieval romancers who celebrated the Grail as a symbol of perfection. At times, this perfection was social, and the Grail functioned as a symbol of the perfect knight or of the ideal chivalric society.

The main aim of this course is to cultivate basic literacy in the principal religions of Asia: Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism. This course explores the origins of these religious traditions in Asia and their transplantation to the United States. The course focuses on three related issues: why religion matters, what the term "religion" means, and how Asian religions - especially Buddhism and Confucianism - wonderfully complicate that term.

An exploration of truth, beauty, wisdom, and goodness at the intersection of faith and scholarship. We look for present and future hope, while attempting to honestly investigate the problems facing humanity and the church. By turns academic, devotional, serious and relaxed, Justin Winzenburg (Ph.D. New Testament) and Stephen W. Jones (Ph.D. International Development) commit to following truth even when that leads us into uncomfortable spaces of self-reflection and repentance. We also anticipate hope, present and future, and actively pursue it.

Segundo o autor dessa obra, que se define como um "ateu não praticante", Deus existirá como sentido de vida para quem tem fé. Para uns, servirá como parâmetro norteador. Para outros, existirá como ferramenta de dominação ideológica.
