Denn in der Burg Sparrow's Deep spukt es - und zwar gewaltig! Kurz bevor die Polizei eintrifft, hört der Spuk allerdings jedes Mal auf. Niemand traut sich mehr auch nur in die Nähe des Anwesens - niemand bis auf Nathalie und Louise! Die beiden sind überzeugt, dass es eine natürliche Erklärung für die unheimlichen Geräusche und Erscheinungen gibt.

Sisters Goose and Penny think they've retired to a small slice of heaven on acreage with everything from peacocks to guinea fowl, ducks to geese, ravens to quail. Their days are filled with your typical squawking and yelping coming from all corners, until the murder of a cockatiel leads them to wonder if they've let in a fox amongst their kindly chickens.

Rosalinda Alameda is in her element. The carousel is spinning, the bears are lounging by their waterfall, and the two elephants are playfully making music with their drums. The brilliant summer sun reminds her of her native Puerto Rico. But despite the warm sunshine and the joyous laughter of the children, Rosalinda can sense that something is not quite right.
